SANGGOJAE - a unique Korean traditional house

Welcome to Sanggojae!

As you all can see, Sanggojae is a Korean traditional house. I found this beautiful and intersting wooden house from another Korean TV-series I watched several months ago. Have you watched "Personal Taste"? Well, I think that is my favourite Korean TV-series!! (so far).. Lee Min Ho...I like him! In this series he played as Jin-ho, an architect who fell in love with a woman named Kai-ren. (I have to control myself not to talk about the story, and focus on the architectural topics! hiks..)

But, beside him, Sanggojae is another reason I like this movie. I really enjoy watching every scene framed with beautiful perspectives of this unique house!

I searched for pictures of this house through the Internet, and I found these pictures of Sanggojae (interior and exterior) in one of Korean website. But since I don't understand the language, I still have to browse for more informations about this house. Such as: Is the interior of this house real, or just settings? If it's real, I really interesting in exploring the floorplan drawing.. (In the movie, Jin Ho also curious about this!! :) hehe..)

Well....for now, atleast I got the pictures..

Area ini paling banyak muncul dalam adegan-adegan di film ini. Ruang ini digunakan sebagai tempat bersantai, membaca, sambil menikmati teh... Hmmm... Nyaman dan benar-benar unik! Ruang ini tidak dibatasi oleh dinding, jadi ruang ini langsung mendapat udara dan cahaya matahari dari luar..

Ketinggian meja dibuat sama dengan ketinggian lantai. Kemungkinan besar bangku bisa dilipat sehingga area ini bisa sekejap berubah jadi lantai datar! Efisiensi ruang yang kreatif! Bisa diterapkan pada perancangan rumah-rumah tinggal dengan luas terbatas..

I think you can actually sit on anything in this house.. Especially when you're with Min-ho.. hehe...

 Ruangan ini nyaman banget yaa...

Ini adalah area depan rumah..

Kita akan langsung masuk ke area ini begitu memasuki pintu gerbang rumah.

 Sebenarnya Sanggojae itu rumah yang beneran ada atau cuma setting untuk proses syuting ya????

Dapur dalam Sanggojae juga terbuka.

Sepertinya tidak ada ruangan yang benar-benar tertutup (dibatasi dinding dan pintu) dalam Sanggojae...

My mother will be very happy to have this kind of kitchen, so she won't have to mind about the smokes she made everytime she cooks!! ;)

Here is the interior of Kai-ren's bedroom.

The design was so simple and clean.

Pintu geser berbingkai kayu membatasi ruang tidur ini dengan area santai..

Yang ini adalah kamar tidur Jin-ho..

Oya, dalam cerita ini, Jin-ho berprofesi sebagai arsitek, maka ada meja gambar arsitek di sudut ruangan..

(Walaupun arsitek sekarang udah beralih ke komputer dan AutoCAD, beberapa arsitek masih mempertahankan cara menggambar konvensional..)
